People gathered to help children
Dover Cultural Exchange along with The Be Educated Movement Inc. celebrated its third annual fund raiser at Dover Art League, Dover, Delaware on Apr 24, 2009. The event's theme, "The Power of ONE" was about the capacity of one person to change the life of a child through education and the power of one child to potentially change the whole world. Even during this difficult economic condition, the local community and businesses turned out to make this great cause a grand success. Again it surpassed the last’s year record fund raising.

Dr Ganesh Balu (Pain Management Rehabilitation), Dover Sam’s club, CNT infotech, Delasoft Inc and T.P. Indira (Internal Medicine) were the key sponsors of this event. Many people and businesses helped us by buying advertisement spaces in our event booklet, ‘The Power of ONE – 2010’ which was released during the event.

About 150 guests graced the occassion. Miss Delaware 2009, Heather Lehman, Mayer of Dover - Carlton Carey, State Senator 17th District - Brian Bushweller, Phyllis Edamastsu from Peace train, Cathy Pent Art from Lake Forest Central Milldel School, and Representative from Dover Art League were among the keynote speakers. Miss Eastern Shore Delaware Jessica Tilley was the MC of the event.
